Dr. Alessandro Cataliotti, M.D., Ph.D. is a Full Professor of Medicine at the Institute for Experimental Medical Research, Oslo University Hospital, Norway. Dr. Cataliotti also maintains an academic position as supplemental Consultant at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester Minnesota, USA where he has worked for more than 15 years in the field of hypertension and heart failure, and cardiac endocrinology. His research has been focused on the discovery of novel therapeutic approaches using different cardiac hormone replacement strategies, including gene delivery, as well as the use of small molecules for the treatment of cardiovascular and renal diseases. He has received several international scientific awards and nominations, including the American Society of Hypertension Young Scholar Award.
